Patricia Heaslip’s latest oil painting, Stellar, arrived at the gallery today, and it feels truly magical.
Inspired by the Pegasus constellation in the Year of the Fire Horse, this enchanting work brings together the vastness of the Australian landscape and the mystery of the heavens above.
A beautiful expanse of earthy reds and warm terracotta stretches towards a delicate horizon, where soft lavender skies come alive with shimmering celestial lights. Heaslip’s subtle mark-making and gentle transitions create an atmosphere of wonder, as though the ancient Australian landscape and the infinite universe are quietly communicating.
Stellar is more than an abstract landscape. It is a celebration of imagination, freedom and our timeless connection to the cosmos. Peaceful yet full of possibility, this painting invites us to look beyond the horizon and rediscover the magic of the unknown.
